Common Emergency FAQs

If your tooth is knocked out, pick it up by the crown (top part), not the root, to avoid damaging the tissue needed for reattachment. Rinse it gently with clean water to remove dirt, but don’t scrub or use soap. If possible, carefully place the tooth back in its socket and bite down gently on a clean cloth to hold it in place. If you can’t put it back, keep it moist by placing it in a container of milk or saline solution. Avoid storing it in water. Call us immediately and seek dental care within 30 minutes for the best chance of saving the tooth.
